With German and Finnish roots, Häly Heinecker was born in Augsburg and is based in Berlin. After receiving a BA in Visual Communication with a focus on Design of the Moving Image, Häly studied Narrative Film at the UdK Arts and Media department, completing their postgraduate studies as Meisterschüler:in of Thomas Arslan.
